Construction is under way at the new Bristol Hospital Emergency Department Expansion and Renovation project. Installation of the new underground utilities and site grading are complete, ready for installation of the new patient drop off ring road and ambulance entrance. Building foundations and steel fabrication are under way, while ambulance access to the active Emergency Department is being maintained. Upon completion of road turnover, the new 13,700 square foot addition will be constructed between the existing emergency department, operating building, and emergency helicopter deck.
Bassick High School, Bridgeport
UPDATE NOVEMBER 2021: The City of Bridgeport purchased property adjacent to the University of Bridgeport to construct a state of the art 200,000sf Bassick High School. Two 100,000 sf existing structures will be abated, demolished, and crushed to make way for the new high school and subsequent support. Current Demolition/Abatement Budget $8,500,000.00. Schedule: October 2021-June 2022.
The project consists of the demolition of two separate 100,000sf buildings, raising the grade to bring the building out of the 500 year flood plain, and constructing a state of the art 205,000 sf high school scheduled to open in the Fall of 2023.
St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport
Bismark is under way on multiple projects for Hartford Healthcare at St Vincent’s Medical Center. Full renovation of the 7th floor for the Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute done in phases, Renovation of their Central Sterile Processing Department, and a renovation of their 3rd floor Oncology lab.
