Bismark Construction acted as the CM from design development to construct a new 13,000 sf addition adjacent to Bristol Hospitals Operating center, adjoining their existing Emergency Department. Key challenges to this project were maintaining ambulance and pedestrian traffic throughout the course of construction. Upon completion of the new Emergency Department Expansion, Bismark facilitated the user relocation and is currently renovating the existing 8,000 sf Emergency Department to create over 20,000 sf of emergency care. Major infrastructure upgrades to the hospital consisted of relocating the primary electrical service 780 ft to the entire campus and supplying generator power to maintain hospital operation. Bismark also installed a new Medical Vacuum system for the entire campus, all while maintaining patient care. This state-of-the-art facility will provide emergency services for decades to come.
