This project consisted of two phases: Phase 1 remediation / demolition of an existing 72,500 sf elementary school along with capturing city streets to expand our six-acre site. Phase 2 was the construction of our new 75,000 sf school with park-like features, to complement the City of Bridgeport’s initiatives and meet LEED Silver certification.

Every building has its similarities or project-specific details. In the case of this project, our Pre-Construction team reviewed foundation pile systems with the Design team to offer the most cost-effective systems. Our expertise, based on our experience, enables us to build projects efficiently and save dollars in the early stages during preconstruction. One noted accomplishment during our procurement phase was we were able to surpass the clients MBE goals with contract awards. Over the last several years this has become a statewide goal through state funded projects under CHRO guidelines.
