ROLE:

Construction Manager at Risk

The OR Expansion and Pre/Post-Op Renovation Project is an ambitious undertaking encompassing 88,099 square feet of transformative space. This multi-phased renovation will introduce six state-of-the art operating rooms and twelve new PACU bays to the hospital, redefining the surgical experience for patients and staff alike. The renovation entails a comprehensive revitalization of the entire area, meticulously designed to accommodate a cutting edge program while ensuring compliance with the latest Department of Public Health (DPH) codes.

In tandem with these enhancements, a new 3,000 square foot mechanical penthouse will rise above, purposefully constructed to house advanced mechanical equipment essential for the operation of the new surgical facilities. The project presents unique challenges, particularly as it is positioned atop the hospital’s active Life Star helicopter pad, necessitating careful planning and precision. With an anticipated completion date and a go-live target set for July 2025, this project promises to elevate the standard of care and operational efficiency within the hospital.
